Development Permit Update

We’re pleased to announce our team has successfully submitted the detailed development permit application to the Town of Canmore for review. We are optimistic about the outcome and expect to receive their final approval early next year.

With this milestone within reach, we are preparing for construction of Phase I buildings. We anticipate this next phase of the project will begin in the Spring.

What’s Been Happening On-Site

The site has been extremely busy over the last several months, with activity primarily focused on site servicing. This included crucial tasks such as land stripping and grading, installation of underground utilities, the creation of curbs and gutters, as well as paving the development’s main road. These extensive service developments will allow for the construction of the various buildings to begin next year.

Our hardworking crews have been diligently focused on the following pivotal project components:

  • Turbo Roundabout Enhancement: Construction is underway for the roundabout at the intersection of Three Sisters Parkway and Three Sisters Boulevard. One of the legs of this roundabout will lead directly into The Gateway at Three Sisters. Turbo roundabouts are an improvement over traditional traffic circles – they include multiple lanes and designated entrances that are designed to guide drivers to the desired exit and reduce speeds moving through it. Additional features of the new roundabout will include separate walking and cycling facilities to improve traffic flow and public safety.

  • Main Road Advancements: Our team has been dedicated to shaping the alignment and paving the main road, ensuring it will safely accommodate vehicle, bicycle, and pedestrian traffic alike. This vital infrastructure will play a central role in connecting and facilitating movement within the development.
